A New Approach to Serving Our Best Resource...
Our Kids!
Vernon and Melissa Reed

Fast-Growth Solutions
Humble ISD is experiencing a period of fast-growth of 1,700 students per year and the School Board must address the needs of those areas where growth is occurring, while balancing the needs of those areas that have already been invested in our District. This will take Board members who are willing to step up and do the following:
Lobby the Texas Legislature for our fair share of education dollars.
Work with developers to ensure manageable growth that will not starve the District budget.
Ensure developers become invested in our District prior to experiencing need.
Prioritize our current resources to ensure our current needs are met first.
Ensure our Bonds address Academics first.
Keep our commitments to providing a well-rounded, college-bound educational experience.
Make difficult decisions based on facts, and not on politics.
The community must be active in these discussions, and I will be an open-door School Board member who will be willing to discuss solutions with all stakeholders before handing down a decision.
